Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit lyze-app.com and when you use the LYZE app, why we do it, and which rights you have. In short: we only process what's needed to run LYZE. No ads, no tracking, and we never sell your data.
1. Who is responsible

2. Visiting this website
Hosting and delivery. This website is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, your browser automatically transmits technical data, in particular your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. Cloudflare uses this data to deliver the website and to protect it against attacks and misuse. We don't build user profiles from it. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a secure and reliable website. Cloudflare processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
No cookies, no tracking. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we don't load fonts or scripts from other providers. We don't set cookies ourselves. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell visitors apart from automated attacks; it isn't used for tracking (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).
Email. If you write to us, we process your email address, your message and any details you include, to answer you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our email is hosted by Apple (iCloud Mail, Apple Distribution International Ltd., Cork, Ireland).
App Store links. The download buttons lead to Apple's App Store, where Apple's privacy policy applies.
3. Using the LYZE app
Account and sign-in. You sign in with Sign in with Apple. We receive a user ID from Apple and, depending on your choice, your email address or an anonymous relay address, and optionally your name. Legal basis for this and the following sections, unless stated otherwise: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, to provide the app to you.
Profile. Your username, display name, bio, profile picture, chosen business model, time zone and app settings. Your username and profile picture are visible to other users. You can set your profile to private.
Progress and Earned. Your roadmap progress, completed tasks and steps, your notes on tasks, focus sessions, streaks and your Earned balance. Earned is LYZE's in-app currency and has no cash value. Your username, business model and Earned may appear on leaderboards that other users can see.
Community, chats and teams. Posts, comments, votes, saved posts, reactions, direct messages, team messages and team memberships, including photos and voice messages you share. Posts and comments are visible to all users; direct and team messages only to their participants. To keep the community safe, reported content is reviewed and may be hidden automatically. LYZE uses your camera or photo library only when you choose to add a photo, and your microphone only while you record a voice message.
Online status. Your friends can see whether you're currently online.
AI coach. When you write to the coach, your message and context from your roadmap (such as your current chapter and next tasks) are sent to Anthropic, PBC, 548 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA, to generate a reply. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf and, under its commercial terms, doesn't use it to train its models. Your conversations are stored in your account so you can continue them. Please don't share sensitive personal information with the coach.
Focus timer, app blocking and screen time. App blocking uses Apple's Screen Time features on your iPhone; the apps you choose to block stay on your device. If you allow Screen Time access, LYZE stores your total screen time per day in minutes, to show your statistics and an average across all users that doesn't identify anyone. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, your permission, which you can withdraw at any time in the iOS settings.
Push notifications. If you allow notifications, we store a device token to send them through Apple's push service. You can turn them off at any time in the iOS settings. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Widgets and Live Activities. The data they show stays on your device.
Where your data is stored. App data is stored with Supabase, Inc. on servers in the European Union (Ireland, operated on Amazon Web Services). Supabase processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
What we don't do. No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no analytics tools, and no selling of data.
4. Who receives data
Only the service providers named above, each for its stated purpose and bound by a data processing agreement: Cloudflare (website), Supabase and Amazon Web Services (app data), Apple (sign-in, push notifications, email) and Anthropic (AI coach). We only pass data to others if the law requires us to.
5. Transfers outside the EU
Some of these providers are based in the USA. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and otherwise on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
6. How long we keep data
We keep your data for as long as you have a LYZE account. When you delete your account in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account), your account and the personal data linked to it are deleted. We delete emails once they're no longer needed, unless we're required by law to keep them. Cloudflare keeps technical access data only briefly, for security.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17), to restrict its processing (Art. 18), to receive it in a portable format (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw any permission you've given at any time, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). Just write to support@lyze-app.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example in the country where you live.
8. Age
LYZE is meant for people aged 13 and over.
9. Changes
We update this policy when LYZE changes. The current version is always available on this page.
